Angelic Conversations (2026)
Angelic Conversations continues Alex Baczyński-Jenkins’s exploration of the structures of desire. This work undertakes the relational conditions of devotion, grace, and ecstasy. Through movement, sound, light, and poetic text, the piece asks how choreography can become a practice of invocation, a means of communion, and a medium for an encounter between the corporeal and the incorporeal. Baczyński-Jenkins works with a historical and contemporary movement vocabulary that explores a spectrum between ecstasy and spirituality. In Angelic Conversations, he and three dancers explore the political and utopian potential inherent in the figure of the angel.
