Stina Fors
Rhododendron (2026)
Stina Fors presents a compelling solo performance set in a hidden gem of Baroque Graz: the Welsche Kirche. The artist links her body and voice with the church’s architecture, exploring the captivating aesthetic power that lies in its sculptures and paintings. As a “foreign body,” Fors amplifies the sensuality and theatricality inherent in the church interior. She showcases the seductive art of illusion and deception while simultaneously revealing how they work. Full of anarchic playfulness and Dadaist humor, the artist beguiles the audience.
Stina Fors (1989, Gothenburg, Sweden) is a performance artist, drummer, and choreographer with a penchant for the absurd and the strange. Her solo works straddle the boundaries between dance, theater, and music and are imbued with tension, humor, and raw energy. Fors’s works have been presented at institutions and festivals including the 60th Venice Biennale; the 15th Gwangju Biennale; Ob/scene Festival, Seoul; Tanzquartier Wien; Brut, Vienna; Wiener Festwochen; La Ménagerie de Verre, Paris; MDT Moderna Dansteatern, Stockholm; STUK Leuven; and Campo, Ghent. She lives in Vienna.
